Modi–Trump Hold Warm Call on Trade & Defense

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone discussion that Modi termed as cordial and interesting. According to PM Modi, they examined the development of bilateral ties between the US and India.

According to those acquainted with the situation, the leaders discuss ways to further cooperation in commerce, crucial technologies, energy, defense, and security.

“I had a really cordial and interesting talk with President Trump. We talked about regional and global trends and assessed the state of our bilateral relations. PM Modi wrote on X on Thursday, “India and the US will continue to work together for global peace, stability, and development.”

According to those acquainted with the situation, both leaders decided to collaborate closely in order to solve similar issues and further shared goals.

The last time the two leaders spoke was in October of this year, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated US President Donald Trump on the “success” of the peace plan for Gaza.

According to the aforementioned individuals, Modi and Trump assessed the development of the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and expressed satisfaction with the consistent improvement of bilateral cooperation in all areas.
