PM Modi Hails Operation Sindoor as a Historic Security Milestone in Mann Ki Baat

In the 129th episode of Mann Ki Baat

In the 129th episode of Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Operation Sindoor, stating that “today’s India does not compromise on its security.”

Speaking to the nation on his radio program, Prime Minister Modi claimed that images of “love and dedication” for the nation appeared everywhere.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the country’s accomplishments in 2025, saying, “2025 delivered numerous moments that made every Indian proud.” India has made an impact on everything from sports to national security, from scientific labs to the largest stages in the world.

Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor became a source of pride for all Indians this year. It was evident to the world that modern India does not compromise on security. Images of dedication and affection for Mother India surfaced from all around the nation during Operation Sindoor. “Everyone had their unique method of expressing their emotions,” he continued.

In reaction to the Pahalgam terror incident, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people, India initiated Operation Sindoor to target terror camps in Pakistan. The I&B Ministry claims that India killed more than 100 terrorists and successfully destroyed nine significant terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), targeting facilities used by Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Pakistan retaliated after Operation Sindoor, sparking a four-day confrontation that lasted from May 7 to May 10. This severe damage prompted Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) to contact the Indian DGMO, and on May 10, both sides agreed to cease all firing and military activity on land, in the air, and at sea.

Vande Mataram

PM Modi went on to say that the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram showed the same spirit toward the nations.

“When Vande Mataram became 150 years old, the same spirit was also evident. I had asked you to use the hashtag #VandeMataram150 in your messages and recommendations. “The citizens passionately took part in the campaign,” he stated.

PM Modi opened the year-long celebration of the national song “Vande Mataram” at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi earlier on November 7. On the occasion, the Prime Minister also unveiled a commemorative coin and stamp.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a website honoring the 150th anniversary of the national anthem, “Vande Mataram.”
