Delhi Police Files FIR Over Leak of Naravane’s Book

The suspected social media leak of former Army Chief General M.M. Naravane’s planned book, “Four Stars of Destiny,” has prompted the Delhi Police to file a formal complaint and begin an investigation. The police claim that the competent authorities have not yet granted the book the required publication clearance.

According to the Delhi Police, a pre-print copy of the book was being circulated online after information about it appeared on a number of online social media sites and discussion boards. After taking notice of these allegations, the police opened an inquiry.

According to preliminary research, various websites offer a typeset PDF version of the book, “Four Stars of Destiny.” According to reports, Penguin Random House India Private Limited made this copy. Additionally, several internet marketing sites are showing the book’s final cover as though it were for sale.

The Delhi Police claim that this case concerns the possible disclosure or violation of confidentially of an unapproved book. A thorough investigation has been started and a case has been filed with the Special Cell due to the gravity of the situation.

The police are currently investigating how the pre-print copy of the book got online, who or what organizations might be responsible, and whether copyright or other legal requirements were broken. There will be additional legal action following the conclusion of the investigation.
