At the India AI Impact Summit, which got underway in New Delhi on Monday, the Bihar government inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) totaling ₹468 crore with a number of significant technology businesses and IIT Patna. The administration stated in a statement on Tuesday that a research park is also part of the initiatives.
The administration of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inked a ₹60 crore Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Bihar AI CoE (center of excellence). IIT Patna signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a research park. According to the release, IIT Patna will serve as the Academic Partner and Tiger Analytics as the Industry Partner.
Furthermore, under the Bihar GCC policy 2026 and the Bihar IT policy 2024, Memorandums of Understanding were inked with GCC and IT units, including Red Cyber (₹103 crore), GrowQR (₹30 crore), and CIPL (₹25 crore), among others, the release stated.
The statement predicted that this action will generate more than 10,000 new employment opportunities in the emerging technology sector. Additionally, through AI-related initiatives, over 50,000 young people will obtain training in skill development.
CEOs from over 100 technology businesses and representatives from more than 135 countries are attending the five-day India AI Impact Summit. Additionally, ministers from more than 50 nations and heads of state from more than 20 countries are attending the summit.
Samrat Choudhary, Bihar’s deputy chief minister, opened the Bihar State Pavilion at the India AI Impact Summit on Tuesday, February 17. The Chief Guest for this event was Raj Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, the Union Minister of Panchayati.
“We aim to advance in Bihar in all areas, including education, agriculture, and the use of cutting-edge global technologies. We want to move Bihar forward by implementing these innovations,” Choudhary stated outside the ceremony.
According to Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, the nation will set the global standard for AI technology.
