The MSE-Cluster Development Programme (Common Facility Centres), Tool Rooms/Technology Centres, the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) ā Green Investment Financing for Transformation (GIFT) Scheme, and the MSME Champions Scheme are just a few of the programs and initiatives that the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is putting into action to support modernization, skill and quality enhancement, advanced technology access, green technology adoption, and increased competitiveness of MSMEs.
Through programs like the Udyam Portal, MSME Champions Portal, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS), MSME Mart, MSME SAMBANDH, and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) portal, the government is promoting digitalization and supporting MSMEs nationwide by facilitating digital registrations, online procurement, e-market access, receivable financing, and grievance redressal.
The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSME) is putting into action a program called “Establishment of new Technology Centers/Extension Centers,” which aims to build 20 new Technology Centers (TCs) and 100 Extension Centers (ECs) throughout the nation in order to expand the geographic reach of the TC network and offer technology, skilled human resources, and advisory services to meet the local needs of MSMEs. At the local level, this will boost MSMEs’ profitability and competitiveness.
Two places in aspirational districts, Gaya (Bihar) and Bokaro (Jharkhand), have been designated as part of the 20 locations for the construction of New Technology Centers.
In order to give MSMEs the necessary guidance and support to boost their export competitiveness, the Ministry of MSME has set up 65 Export Facilitation Centers (EFCs) in its field organizations, including MSME-Development and Facilitation Offices, MSME Technology Centers, and MSME Testing Centers.
