Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah described on Monday how Bharat Taxi drivers may use the platform to register and operate their cars, converting their investments into income.
At the Bharat Taxi launch event on February 23, Shah was chatting with taxi and auto drivers from Gujarat and Delhi-NCR.
“I questioned each of the three businesses about whether they had established a minimum base fee for their drivers. During the 40-minute conversation, the Union minister informed the gathering, “They said no,” in reference to ride-hailing services Rapido, Ola, and Uber.
“We are not going to do this. Whatever you do for a living, you should have a minimum. And you must get back to him for anything beyond that,” he continued.
Amit Shah further mentioned that taxi and car drivers can become co-owners of Bharat Taxi for merely ₹500, making money alongside the business.
According to Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, here is how can make money with Bharat Taxi by investing ₹500.
How can I invest ₹500 and make money with Bharat Taxi?
In his conversation, Amit Shah described how drivers of taxis and cars might make money in a few years by investing just ₹500 to join Bharat Taxi.
According to him, if the business turns a profit of ₹25 crore in three years, the government will keep ₹5 crore and provide the remaining ₹20 crore to driver partners in accordance with their performance.
All you have to do is invest ₹500. What is going to occur in three years? If Bharat Taxi makes ₹25 crore, 20% of that amount, or ₹5 crore, will go into Bharat Taxi’s account as your capital. The remaining 80% will be returned to your account, depending on how many kilometers the taxi has traveled, he stated.
Shah added that although there will be a set rent for the time being, drivers from Bharat Taxi would make money as owners. Drivers should wait three years for the money to arrive, he advised.
You are going to receive the fixed rent right now. However, since you are the proprietor, you ought to receive a portion of the earnings as well. This share will eventually arrive, but for the first three years, you will need to exercise patience.
This is what Bharat Taxi would ensure
Bharat Taxi, a recently established cooperative taxi service, would ensure that all drivers on its platform receive a minimal base payment each kilometer, according to Amit Shah.
“The idea is that the person who is working hard, the one who is toiling, should get the profit, not some rich man,” he claimed, claiming that current ride-hailing aggregators had purposefully avoided setting such a floor in order to maximize corporate profits at the expense of workers. What inspired us to create Bharat Taxi? Amit Shah remarked, “You mentioned that there were numerous complaints, 30% was taken out, and there was no assurance.”
Unlike other ride-hailing services, where the platform takes a sizable commission, the Bharat Taxi platform works on a cooperative model, making drivers stakeholders and beneficiaries of the profits made.
