Bharat-VISTAAR will be launched on Tuesday and is described as a “multi-layered digital platform meant to provide end-to-end support to the Indian agricultural community”.

Using cutting-edge machine learning methods, it will deliver customized weather and crop health notifications.

Through a single digital window, it will enable direct access to benefits from both the federal and state governments.

There will be more than 22 regional Indian languages available for its UI and audio content.

AgTech partners and startups will be able to develop creative solutions thanks to it.

It has voice bots that speak natural language so farmers can ask questions without typing.

It will provide consistent integration with local extension agencies and state land records.

The Finance Minister stated, “I plan to deploy Bharat-VISTAAR—a multilingual AI tool that connects the AgriStack websites and the ICAR package on agricultural practices with AI systems,” during her February 1 presentation of her ninth consecutive budget.”This would boost farm output, enable better decisions for farmers, and minimize risk by offering personalized advising support,” she said, implying that the government intends to set aside ₹150 crore for Bharat-VISTAAR in the next fiscal year.

The new AI tool is a significant step in empowering farmers by using AI technology to give them precise information. The goal of this phase is to close the digital divide in rural areas and increase productivity. By offering specialized consulting support, it seeks to lower farming risk and boost profitability.

This is an important step in providing farmers with information in their own tongue. It will offer a single ecosystem for technical assistance, market access, and credit. Additionally, this integrated system will address the problem of disparate agricultural data across many departments and platforms.

“Bharat-VISTAAR — A multilingual AI tool that will combine the AgriStack portals and the ICAR package on agricultural practices with AI systems,” stated the Ministry of Finance in a press release. By providing the farmer with specialized advisory support, this will increase farm productivity, improve farmer decision-making, and lower risk.
