India and China will once again have air connection. On November 9, China Eastern Airlines will start operating round-trip service between Shanghai and New Delhi. A major step toward mending ties between the two nations is this decision.
The trip between Shanghai and Delhi will run every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, according to the airline. At 12:50 p.m., the aircraft will take off from Pudong Airport in Shanghai and land at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at 5:45 p.m.
Sales of tickets have started
At 7:55 PM, the return aircraft will leave Delhi and reach Shanghai Pudong Airport at 4:10 AM the following day. Sales of tickets on this route have also started. Notably, after five years, the two nations had agreed to start direct flights again.
Following their meeting on the fringes of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin in August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping made the decision.
Indigo began operating flights as well
Additionally, Indigo Airlines has announced that it would begin operating daily flights from Kolkata to Guangzhou, China, on October 26. Additionally, Indigo is getting ready to start operating flights on the Delhi-Guangzhou route shortly.
