According to Delhi Minister Sirsa, the city’s air quality index was 341 before Diwali and only increased by 11 points to 356 after the celebration.
Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa revealed the BJP administration headed by Rekha Gupta’s proposal to use cloud seeding to create artificial rain in order to alleviate the city’s “extremely terrible” air quality the day after Diwali.
Sirsa said that cloud seeding would only be feasible “when there are clouds” at a briefing on Tuesday, ruling out an urgent plan.
“For those who want to know why we are not finishing cloud seeding. It is my desire to inform these ignorant individuals that they are enraged and have forgotten everything. “In cloud seeding, the cloud comes first, and then the seeding,” the minister said at the briefing.
“There will thus be seeding when the clouds arrive. He went on to say, “There will be rain and seeding done the day there are clouds.”
While 29 of Delhi’s 31 stations were in red, signifying “extremely bad” AQI, the environment minister made these comments. According to official statistics on the SAMEER app, Bawana had the highest AQI, at 429 (severe).
A number of factors contributed to this week’s rise in pollution in the nation’s capital, including the detonation of Diwali crackers, unfavorable weather, stubble burning in several neighboring states, and vehicle emissions.
