Traffic Curbs Across Delhi for AI Impact Summit 2026; Advisory for CBSE Students

On Monday, February 16, the AI Impact Summit will begin at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and run through February 20.

Heads of State, Heads of Government, Ministers, foreign delegations, and representatives of international organizations will all attend the five-day summit.

According to a senior police officer, “complex traffic restrictions would be applied in the interest of public safety, notably in the New Delhi district and neighboring districts to maintain smooth vehicular flow and public convenience.”

There will be restrictions on traffic on a number of important routes, including:

Mathura Road, Subramania Bharti Marg, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Tees January Marg, Akbar Road, Teen Murti Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Sardar Patel Marg, Janpath, Froze Shah Road, Satya Marg, Satya Path, Safdarjung Road, Kartavya Path, and surrounding roads.

Additionally, the advise stated that Mathura Road and Bhairon Marg would be restricted areas and that cars would not be permitted to travel through them.

Depending on the terminal, the NH-48, Rao Gajraj Singh Marg, UER-I, and Sector-22 Dwarka Tunnel will all support traffic flow to the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The traffic police has provided a number of recommended routes via Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Raj Ghat, ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Vande Mataram Marg, and others for people going to the New Delhi, Old Delhi, and Hazrat Nizamuddin train stations.

We have advised commuters to plan their routes and pay attention to traffic advisories, particularly during rush hours.

The travel alert states that specified alternate routes and corridors will assist public movement. According to the police, vehicles that are not headed for Delhi would be rerouted to the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways as well as other alternate routes.

Exams for the CBSE board will start on February 17.

Beginning on February 17, which is also the date of the AI Impact Summit, the CBSE board exams will also start. Over 46 lakh students from India and 26 other countries will take the Board Examinations for Classes 10 and 12.

According to Delhi Traffic Police, they have collaborated with Education Department representatives to guarantee efficient traffic control and to reduce public and student annoyance.

“All students have been instructed to arrive at their examination center by 10 am at the latest, as the exam begins at 10.30 am,” stated Sanyam Bhardwaj, the CBSE Examination Controller.

As part of the preparations, all Delhi Police field personnel have received training and awareness raising on how to help kids get to testing locations.

What is the route to the AI Impact Summit?

Every day, the AI Impact Summit will begin at 9:30 AM and go until 6:00 PM.

To get to the location, registered delegates are strongly encouraged to take public transportation, particularly the Delhi metro. Delegates can reach the venue by Gate 10, and Pragati Maidan metro station will be the most practical station.

The Delhi Police have recommended the delegates to take taxis rather than drive their own cars because parking spaces are scarce.

However, there is limited parking available at Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium, National Stadium, and the Delhi Zoo for those choosing to drive their own cars. From these parking spaces to Bharat Mandapam Gate 4, shuttle services will run to and from the summit locations.
