Gatka Championship: Pitts’ Kids Win

The district and school received recognition for the Pitts Modern School Gomia students’ exceptional achievement in the Third Jharkhand State Gatka Championship 2025–2026.

Jharkhand Gatka Championship Winners

The State Jharkhand Gatka Association hosted this championship at Credo World School in Dhanbad City from August 23 to 24. In the Soti solo singles competition, Maithili Thakur (under-11) took home the gold. In the team competition (single Soti), the under-14 team consisting of Dhara Singh, Lakshmi Kumari, Khushi Kumari, and Sanskriti Kumari took home the gold medal.

In the individual Fari Soti, Utkarshveer (under-14) and Amit Bhushan (under-19) took home the silver medal. In addition, Sahil Singh (under-17) took home the silver medal from the team competition.

Bokaro Girls Team Shines

The school’s girls team, which represents Bokaro, earned a spot in the National Championship in Delhi after finishing second. Coach Naeem Ansari received recognized for his vital part in the team’s win, while Khushi Kumari received special distinction for her outstanding performance in the team event.

Vipras Vice President Arindam Dasgupta, IEPL Orica Gomia General Manager Abhishek Biswas, and Principal Brij Mohan Lal Das congratulated the victors. 11 Pitts students who have won medals.
