The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) granted it the first Commencement Certificate for the construction of the “Taj Bandstand” on September 24.

With the aforementioned clearance, Indian Hotels Company Limited said in a regulatory filing that all required approvals were obtained to start building the hotel project. IHCL, the biggest hotel company in the nation and a subsidiary of the Tata Group, revealed the Rs 2,500-crore Taj Bandstand project in February. The project would span two acres and include 330 rooms and 85 flats.
