IndiGo Cancels 550 Flights Amid Operational Disruptions

One of India’s top airlines, IndiGo, is still experiencing operational difficulties as 550 flights were canceled nationwide on Thursday. Airport pandemonium resulted from the cancellation of at least 191 of the total flights in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. Regarding the current turmoil, the airline has released a statement.

“Over the last two days, IndiGo’s network and operations have experienced significant interruption. We sincerely apologize to any of our clients and industry participants affected by these incidents. With the help of MOCA, DGCA, BCAS, AAI, and airport operators, IndiGo personnel are working hard and exerting every effort to lessen the cascading effects of these delays and return to normal. IndiGo said, “We continue to notify our customers of any changes to their booked flights and ask them to monitor the current status.”

One of the biggest airlines in the nation, IndiGo, has experienced severe operational difficulties in recent days. On Thursday, over 300 flights were canceled and several more were delayed. The airline had 1,232 flight cancellations and significant flight delays in November.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) made the decision to start an investigation after the decline in performance. It requested that the airline provide an explanation for the sharp drop in operations.
