IndiGo has announced a fresh update in fuel charges due to rising aviation fuel prices, impacting both domestic and international passengers.
In response to the increase in jet fuel costs, IndiGo said on Wednesday that it will begin imposing updated fuel fees on domestic and international flights on April 2, ranging from ā¹275 to ā¹10,000.

Airfares for a variety of domestic and international flights will increase due to increased fuel costs. The biggest airline in the nation made the announcement on the same day that the government decided to merely increase the price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) by 25% for domestic flights.

Due to a spike in gasoline prices following the crisis in West Asia, the airline began charging ā¹425 to ā¹2,300 on both domestic and international travel tickets on March 14. The new fuel prices for domestic flights will vary from ā¹275 to 950, depending on the distance.

“With this clarification, IndiGo has also recalibrated its domestic fuel pricing to vary by different travel distances,” the airline said in a statement. Depending on the distance, fuel fees for foreign flights might range from ā¹900 to ā¹10,000.
