The heavy water flow late Tuesday night destroyed the makeshift diversion bridge that was constructed on the river close to the South Bahal town of Jamtara. The powerful water flow carried away five young people in a Wagon-R automobile at about 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

The water flow was so powerful that it carried the automobile and all of the young people for around forty feet. Four young people managed to grab onto the water’s edge and escape without incident. As the darkness carried one young person away. According to reports, Vedprakash, the young man who was carried away by the river current, is a contract employee of the Jamtara DTO office. His birthplace is the area of Hazaribagh.

In the middle of the night, the local people began the rescue effort, and a tractor helped pull the automobile out of the powerful river current. However, the young man Ved Prakash got lost in the stream and could not be found. According to reports, every individual in the vehicle is a contract employee of the Jamtara DTO office.

Following the receipt of information about the occurrence, Santosh Kumar Singh, the in-charge of the Jamtara Town Police Station, arrived to the scene with his squad and began looking for the missing youngsters and local residents. “The local team has also sent divers to look for the missing youth,” Santosh Kumar added.

Local villagers claim that this diversionary interaction was being employed as a stopgap measure. Approximately a week ago, the people built it themselves. However, the rapid water flow in the river caused damage as a result of Tuesday night’s intense rain.

Jamtara has lost communication with dozens of communities.

This year’s July 29th night saw a lot of rain, which caused damage to the Dakshin Bahal bridge. Thousands of residents from over a dozen villages on the other side lost touch with Jamtara headquarters as a result of the bridge’s devastation, which also cut off direct communication between Jamtara and the Deoghar district via Chitra and Sarath.

Many communities on the other side of the bridge rely on Jamtara for their schools, universities, marketplaces, and medical care. The locals had built a temporary diversion bridge at their own level with these demands in mind. The first rain, however, washed everything away, and a serious disaster happened.
