PM Modi Announces ₹1,200 Crore Aid for Uttarakhand After Disaster

Originally scheduled to carry out an airborne tour of Uttarakhand‘s disaster-affected districts today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s program was postponed owing to unfavorable weather conditions in the Dharali area.

The Prime Minister offered condolences and visited with the impacted families. PM Modi visited volunteers from Disaster Mitra, the NDRF, and the SDRF and expressed gratitude for their work.

Reconstruction And Support

According to him, the PM Awas Yojana would maintain a particular scheme for the rehabilitation of destroyed homes. The Center will fully assist the rebuilding of schools, roads, and other infrastructure. Meanwhile, central teams are evaluating the damage and will provide more support after the assessment.
