As the situation in Nepal deteriorates, the army has imposed a curfew, but the violence continues, putting the Indian border at risk as well.
Intelligence organizations have cautioned that antisocial individuals may use this circumstance and incite instability in the border regions. West Bengal, Bihar, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh have all seen increases in security.
In Nepal, the situation is becoming worse. Even though the Nepal Army has enforced a curfew, the mayhem continues. The Indian borders are also under danger due to the turmoil in Nepal.
Central authorities are cautioning that malicious groups may use this storm in Nepal to cause unrest in India’s border regions.
Under the pretense of the commotion in Nepal, authorities say intelligence reports unequivocally show that anti-social groups may foment violence and cause damage to government property. As a result, the security personnel stationed along the border between India and Nepal are on high alert. This comprises Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Bihar Police, Uttarakhand Police, and Uttar Pradesh Police. To ensure there is no disruption, they are all stepping up border monitoring.
Tight regulations in border states
In West Bengal, Bihar, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, there is heightened security. In order to ensure peace and order, the security forces are on high alert here. The Uttarakhand town of Champawat has increased security. From here, one may reach Nepal’s Mahendranagar. Concern has grown here since the Nepal Army enforced a curfew.
They are also keeping an eye on the border near Dharchula, Pithoragarh. Locals are concerned because they have family stuck in Nepal. On the border, security personnel have stepped up their observation to make sure no questionable individuals are seen. These regions illustrate how obvious boundaries both link the two nations and provide risks.
At border stations in Madhubani, Bihar, the SSB is in operation. According to SP Yogendra Kumar, Madhubani police are very watchful given the current situation in Nepal.
All border police stations are on high alert. Staff members and inspectors from Circle are on the ground, particularly maintaining a 24-hour watch on the border.”
“Those who cross the border are being admitted after inspection,” he said. “We are checking IDs. Making ensuring that no criminals cross the border is our goal. These preparations demonstrate how the local police are carrying out the center’s warning and guaranteeing the public’s safety.

Although tight, the situation at the Gauriphanta border is under control. There is close observation. Additionally, the Panitanki border in West Bengal’s Darjeeling area is on a high alert.
