Trump’s meeting with Muslim leaders, according to Shehbaz Sharif, will yield positive outcomes on Gaza.
Pakistan is making quick strides in its military, foreign policy, and economics, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who said on Sunday that the economy had stabilized and that the nation will now pursue economic development and advancement.
Speaking to Pakistani expatriates at the Pakistan High Commission, he said that Pakistan’s economy has previously gone through a challenging period. He said that honesty, diligence, and teamwork were the reasons for all of the current government’s accomplishments, and that each person contributed in some way to achieving the objectives. The prime minister said that Pakistan has won respect and dignity among the international community. “With collaboration, discussions, honesty, relentless efforts, and unity of thought and action, we can overcome any challenge and create progress,” he said.
He remembered how the world’s admiration for Pakistan increased when it overcame its adversary and won the war. He said that during his address to the UN General Assembly, he spoke for the people of Pakistan, made their case, and echoed their opinions. He said that he emphasized the problems of Palestine and Kashmir in his address. He said that the persecution and cruelty that the people of Gaza were experiencing were unprecedented in history and that Kashmir will eventually be free.
He predicted that the US President Donald Trump’s gathering of Arab and Islamic nations will yield positive outcomes on the Gaza problem. He added that the occupying army in Gaza murdered up to 64,000 Muslims, including women, children, young people, and the old, and prayed for peace and an end to the persecution in Gaza.
According to the prime minister, he had another positive and fruitful conversation with President Trump in a friendly setting in Washington. He emphasized that the meeting would be a first step for further improved ties with the United States. He said that Pakistanis living abroad were an invaluable resource, excellent representatives of their nation, and actively serving it. Speaking at the event, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Prime Minister successfully represented Pakistan during the UN General Assembly session.
He added that eight nations met with the US president to address the Gaza situation, including five Arab nations—Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt—and three non-Arab Muslim nations—Pakistan, Turkey, and Indonesia.
Following the first meeting, he informed the country that other discussions were ongoing and would result in a favorable resolution to the Gaza situation.
According to Ishaq Dar, during the session of the UN General Assembly, Pakistani leadership represented the country in almost two dozen meetings on various platforms.
He pointed out that the Pakistani delegation brought up the problems of Gaza, Palestine, and Kashmir with the world community.
He claimed that he prevented Pakistan from going into economic default when the Prime Minister took over in April 2022.
He said that after Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan’s economy the 24th largest, it fell to 47th place as a result of poor management during the next four years.
“Now the situation has improved, economic stability has been achieved, interest rates have dropped from a high of 22 percent to 11 percent, and inflation has dropped from 30 percent to five percent,” he stated.
He stated that Pakistan will eradicate poverty, spur advancement, and raise people’s per capita income as it developed and made progress.
He said that the administration was working to advance Pakistan and that the world could see and acknowledge the country’s success.
