Each prisoner is given a task according to their aptitude and desire. Sources claim that while Revanna had shown interest in taking on administrative duties, the prison management chose to retain him at the library. Prajwal even finished the assignment for one day.

The prisoners must labor three days a week. They often have to work twelve days a month. Prajwal Revanna, however, spends the most of his time in court and consulting with his attorneys.

Notably, a trial court recently convicted Revanna, the son of prominent JD(S) politician and Holenarasipura MLA HD Revanna, to life in jail in a r*pe case filed against him. Revanna is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Devegowda.
