In response to widespread IndiGo flight cancellations throughout the nation, the South Western Railway on Saturday announced a number of special trains in conjunction with Central, South Eastern, and Southern Railways to free trapped passengers.
Exclusive Services on Important Interstate Corridors
According to authorities, the special services would run on popular lines including Bengaluru–Chennai, Bengaluru–Pune, Yesvantpur–Hazrat Nizamuddin, Shalimar–Yelahanka, and Ernakulam–Yelahanka between December 6 and 10.
An official announcement states that SWR would operate trains 06255/06256 between KSR Bengaluru and Chennai Egmore, 06257/06258 between Bengaluru and MGR Chennai Central, 06259/06260 between Yesvantpur and Hazrat Nizamuddin, and 06263/06264 between Bengaluru and Pune.
Railways Work Together Across Zones to Offer Assistance
South Eastern Railway will run Train No. 08073/08074 between Shalimar and Yelahanka, while Central Railway will run Train No. 01413/01414 between Pune and Bengaluru.
According to the announcement, Southern Railway will run Train No. 06147/06148 between Ernakulam and Yelahanka. Passengers are recommended by railways to come early at stations and check the most recent timetables on the company’s official channels.
Thousands of customers have suffered as a result of many cancellations and delays that have severely impacted IndiGo aircraft operations for at least five days in a row. Baggage misplacement has occurred often.
