Suryakumar Forgets Toss Changes, Jokes He’s Rohit Sharma

At the toss of India’s Asia Cup group stage match versus Oman at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, skipper Suryakumar Yadav offered a humorous moment.

India utilized the game to rotate their players, since they had already qualified for the Super Four.

The squad wanted to try something new, thus Suryakumar decided to bat after winning the toss. “We want to test our depth in this game since we have not batted first in this edition yet,” he said.

When asked to ratify the modifications to the playing XI, the hilarity started. With assurance, Suryakumar said that Harshit Rana will replace Varun Chakaravarthy. But the captain abruptly lost the ability to name the second replacement.

He burst out laughing as he acknowledged that, in a rare lapse from the 35-year-old, he had forgotten the other arriving player. Fans shared footage of the interaction on social media as soon as the broadcast recorded the event.

“There is another person, then Harshit enters. “Oh my gosh, I have become like Rohit Sharma,” the captain said.
Suryakumar found it difficult to remember Arshdeep Singh, who came in for the game in lieu of experienced bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

India had fielded the same teams in their first two games, therefore there was a mix-up.

Although the event made both teammates and onlookers laugh, it also demonstrated the laid-back atmosphere in the Indian camp before to Sunday’s highly anticipated Super Four match against Pakistan.
