Either late November 2025 or early December 2025 will see the introduction of this new Tata SUV in India.
With the introduction of a brand-new SUV, Tata Motors is preparing to increase the size of its SUV lineup. According to reports, this new SUV will be the recognizable Tata Sierra, which made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 earlier this year.
Either late November 2025 or early December 2025 will see the debut of the Tata Sierra. The SUV’s internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) versions will be the first to hit the market.
The new Tata Sierra’s design is based on the former model from the 1990s, however it has undergone a thorough redesign. The SUV shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 featured square wheel arches, a tall, erect shape, a full-width LED light bar, and a revised glasshouse that was evocative of the iconic back profile of the original Sierra. The model now has five doors, making the cabin more useful and simpler to reach.
Tata’s adaptable new architecture serves as the foundation for the SUV, providing more interior space and sophistication. The production model should have high-end materials, improved sound insulation, and a more straightforward dashboard design.
Tata’s new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine is probably one of the available powertrain choices, mated to either an automatic or a six-speed manual gearbox. The range may also include the well-known 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine (170PS and 350Nm) from the Harrier and Safari lineup, modified for better drivability. The entry-level model may have a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine. There will not be a four-wheel-drive version initially; all models are anticipated to be front-wheel-drive.
The anticipated pricing range for the Tata Sierra (ex-showroom) is between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 19 lakh. It will compete with vehicles such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Kia Seltos, and Mahindra Thar Roxx.
