Yogi Adityanath Says Noida Metro Aqua Line Extension Will Ease Travel for Millions

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, declared on Saturday that the approval of the Noida Metro (Aqua Line) extension is a landmark decision that will revolutionize the connectivity of Noida and Greater Noida.

“The approval granted today by the Union Cabinet, led by the esteemed Prime Minister @narendramodi jee, for the extension of the Noida Metro (Aqua Line) is a historic decision that will take the connectivity of Noida and Greater Noida to new heights,” Adityanath wrote in a post on X in Hindi.

According to him, millions of commuters will find traveling much easier thanks to this 11.6-kilometer project that runs from Botanical Garden to Noida Sector 142.

He went on to say that the Botanical Garden will become a significant interchange point and that this extension will add eight additional elevated stations.

In addition to quickening regional development, this choice will solidify Noida’s position as the nation’s principal center for industry and services. Adityanath wrote in the post, “Thank you, Prime Minister, for your bold and popular choice.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet met on Friday and made the decision.

The government said on Saturday that Noida and Greater Noida cities will have a 61.62-kilometer active Metro Rail Network following the operationalization of the line.

According to the statement, the extension corridor from Noida Sector 142 to Botanical Garden (Noida) is a significant expansion of the Noida Metro Rail Network and represents an advancement in the city’s infrastructure.

According to the announcement, the corridor will enhance public transit in the city and add about 11.56 km of tracks.

Additionally, the project will offer direct access to busy corridors like the Botanical Garden junction, Blue Line, and Magenta Line. It further stated that the goal of this phase is to smoothly incorporate important Noida areas, such as business districts and educational institutions.

According to the announcement, it would also incorporate popular tourist destinations including Sector-93 Park and the Botanical Garden.
