India Becomes ClickHouse’s Fastest Growing Market in Asia

According to CTO Alexey Milovidov, ClickHouse is developing quickly in India, making it one of its fastest-growing markets in Asia. Due to its size and growing need for real-time data solutions, India leads growth in Southeast Asia and the larger APAC region, even though its revenue still lags behind that of the US and Europe.

Just eight months ago, the company established a go-to-market and product engineering presence in India. Since then, it has added a number of well-known customers, including as InMobi, Sony LIV, and Zomato. ClickHouse provides services to key AI-driven companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI worldwide.

Businesses looking for high-performance, affordable data infrastructure to support AI, analytics, and observability systems are the main drivers of India’s quick adoption. A major contributor to ClickHouse’s expansion has been its affordable pricing when compared to competitors like Databricks, Datadog, and Snowflake.

Due to growing enterprise need for scalable and effective data systems, the larger market for data analytics and AI platforms is expected to grow from $108 billion to over $438 billion by 2031. This trend is advantageous to ClickHouse, especially as businesses develop AI agents and require quicker, more dependable data processing.

There are still issues despite widespread adoption. In India, large businesses typically have lengthier sales cycles and may need longer trial periods before making a commitment. But startups and digital-native businesses are embracing the platform faster, particularly in the food delivery and financial sectors.

Additionally, ClickHouse makes advantage of its open-source environment, which aided in its success in India prior to hiring a local sales force. Currently serving hundreds of clients nationwide, the company hopes to grow to thousands in the future.

ClickHouse is expanding rapidly worldwide, particularly in the US, because to growing investments in AI. The company, which was recently valued at $15 billion, is still growing and has acquired the AI observability platform Langfuse.

All things considered, India’s expanding IT sector and need for AI-powered infrastructure make it a vital development engine for ClickHouse’s future.
