On Thursday, members of the Youth Congress protested in Bengaluru against the purported anomalies in Neet-UG 2026 and demanded that the central government take responsibility for the administration of the national medical entrance exam.
Youth Congress Protest Over NEET-UG 2026
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, AICC general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, along with ministers and prominent Congress leaders, attended the protest at Freedom Park.
T-shirts with the slogan “PM is compromised” were released by Siddaramaiah and Surjewala during the demonstration, while other leaders also showed off T-shirts that said “I am cockroach.”

The demonstration takes place in the midst of ongoing public and political criticism after the National Testing Agency (NTA) canceled NEET-UG 2026 because to claims of irregularities and paper leaks earlier this month.
NTA Cancels NEET-UG 2026
The examination, which was first held on May 3 for about 23 lakh candidates nationwide, was canceled, according to the NTA, after internal reviews and information from law enforcement agencies revealed that the examination procedure had been tampered with.
After that, the Indian government ordered a new investigation and sent the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a thorough investigation.
